Mr. Beck is Co-Portfolio Manager of a number of the funds under the supervision of the Global Principal Group. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2000, Mr. Beck managed Seneca Capital Partners LLC, a private equity investment firm he co-founded in 1996. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Beck was President of Archon Capital Partners L.P., an investment firm. From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Beck was President and a Managing Director of Rosecliff, Inc., an investment management firm which managed, from 1987 to 1992, Acadia Partners, L.P., a $1.7 billion fund whose investors included Robert M. Bass, Equitable and American Express. Mr. Beck was previously an officer in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, Inc. and an attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Mr. Beck graduated with a B.A. degree in Economics from Stanford University. He then went on to receive a J.D. from Stanford Law School and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has served as a member of the board of directors of numerous companies in a broad range of industries.
