Erica Mui

Ms. Mui is a managing director in Oaktree’s Opportunities group in Los Angeles.  In this role, she helps to oversee the financial management of the strategy.  Prior to joining the firm in 2025, Ms. Mui was a managing director in the Fixed Income Capital Markets group at Morgan Stanley where she advised financial institutions on debt issuance and capital optimization.  There, she also led the investment grade debt private placement franchise.  Earlier in her career, Ms. Mui worked in Morgan Stanley’s Corporate Derivatives group and Mergers & Acquisitions team, advising clients on interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives as well as strategic transactions.  She earned a B.S. degree magna cum laude in economics from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in international relations from the College of Arts & Sciences.  Ms. Mui also holds an M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School.
