James Lindsay, CFA

Mr. Lindsay is a managing director in the Capital Formation group focused on the U.K. corporate defined benefit and insurance client business.  He joined Oaktree in 2026 from Natixis Investment Management, where he served as director and Head of U.K. Corporate DB and Insurance.  Prior to Natixis, Mr. Lindsay was Head of U.K. Institutional Sales at Western Asset Management.  Previously, he spent six years at Legal & General Investment Management as a client director, responsible for managing relationships with large U.K. DB and DC pension schemes across asset classes including LDI, fixed income, equities and real assets.  Earlier in his career, he held roles at Mesirow Financial and J.P. Morgan.  Mr. Lindsay received a B.Sc. in virology from the University of Glasgow and is a CFA charterholder.
