Jay Ghiya
Managing Director and Head of Information Solutions
Mr. Ghiya serves as managing director and Head of Information Solutions at Oaktree. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the firm's Data, Technology, Investment Operations, Risk, Reporting and Analytics, and Tax functions. Mr. Ghiya focuses on driving the strategic direction and execution of initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2008, Mr. Ghiya was a transactional attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, where his practice focused on structuring joint ventures, private equity funds, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. He brings a multidisciplinary perspective to his leadership role, drawing on his legal background and experience in operations, analytics, technology, and data to drive enterprise-wide innovation and support the firm’s long-term strategic objectives. Mr. Ghiya graduated with a B.A. degree in economics with a minor in philosophy from the University of California, Riverside. He then went on to receive a J.D. degree from the University of Southern California Law School, with the highest scholastic average in his graduating class.
