Julian Lautersztain

Mr. Lautersztain is a senior vice president for Oaktree’s Emerging Markets Opportunities strategy.  In this role, he focuses on sourcing and executing both public and private credit opportunities in emerging markets.  Prior to rejoining Oaktree in 2024, he was a director in the Emerging Markets Credit group at Cerberus, where he sourced and executed transactions in stressed and distressed credits.  Mr. Lautersztain previously worked at Millennium, Oaktree, and J.P. Morgan all within the emerging markets credit space.  He holds both an M.B.A. and a B.Sc. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania where he received First Years Honors and Joseph Wharton scholars status, respectively.  Mr. Lautersztain is fluent in Spanish.
