Pavel Kaganas

Mr. Kaganas is a managing director in Oaktree’s Opportunities group in New York.  In this role, he focuses on the consumer, retail, industrials, financials, and technology sectors.  Mr. Kaganas joined the firm in 2017 from Newtyn Management, a long/short fund where he focused on value and special situation investing.  Previously, he was in the Private Equity Origination group at Morgan Joseph TriArtisan.  Mr. Kaganas holds a B.S. from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School’s Value Investing Program.  He is fluent in Russian.
