Richesh Shah

Mr. Shah is a managing director and Head of Americas Insurance Solutions. He is responsible for managing the firm’s insurance client segment in the region and for the development and structuring of capital efficient solutions for insurance company balance sheets. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2025, Mr. Shah was a managing director in the Strategic Advisory group at PJT Partners, where he led the origination, structuring, and execution of complex capital markets and M&A transactions for alternative asset managers and institutional investors. He played a foundational role in building PJT’s alternatives structuring capabilities for insurance companies across a wide range of strategies, including the first general partner-led collateralized fund obligation. In 2022, Mr. Shah was named among the Rising Stars of Wall Street by Business Insider. Earlier in his career, he held investment banking roles at Blackstone and Citigroup. Mr. Shah holds a B.S. degree in finance & management information systems, with a minor in mathematics, summa cum laude from Rutgers University. Mr. Shah is actively involved with the TEAK Fellowship as a mentor and serves on the Young New Yorkers Executive Committee for the New York Philharmonic.
