Soonwoong Kook

Mr. Kook serves as a managing director within Oaktree’s Capital Formation group based in Hong Kong.  He also acts as the legal representative of Oaktree Overseas Investment Fund Management (Shanghai).  Mr. Kook has focused his career on private and public fund sales to Korean investors since 1999.  Prior to joining Oaktree in 2018, he was a managing director responsible for Korean institutional business at Amundi Hong Kong from 2008.  Before that, he served as a client relationship manager at AllianceBernstein Hong Kong beginning in 2005. He also worked as a fund placement agent at Shinhan Securities in Seoul.  Mr. Kook holds an M.B.A. from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai and a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Houston in Texas.
