Spyros Spyropoulos

Mr. Spyropoulos began working with Oaktree’s European Principal Group in 2012, leading private equity and debt investments across a range of industries and geographies.  His board memberships include Iaso Group, Sani/Ikos Group, Elix Aviation Capital and Tactical Air Support.  During Mr. Spyropoulos’s 20-year finance career, he has closed transactions with total disclosed value in excess of €20 billion.  Prior to Oaktree, Mr. Spyropoulos was a member of the Executive Committee at BNP Paribas Greece, leading the corporate relationships of the bank and managing a credit portfolio in excess of €1 billion.  Additional experience includes investment banking roles at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Bear Stearns.  Mr. Spyropoulos holds an M.B.A. in finance and economics from Columbia Business School, a master’s in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Diploma in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.  He is a native Greek speaker.
