Q: Is Oaktree publicly traded?
A: No. Our Class A units are not traded on a public exchange such as the NYSE or NASDAQ, nor are we a reporting company under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. In May 2007, we completed a private equity offering to qualified institutional buyers in an over-the-counter market for Rule 144A securities developed by Goldman Sachs, referred to as the GS Tradable Unregistered Equity OTC market (the “GSTrUE OTC market”).

Q: Can I view Oaktree’s stock price information?
A: Only Qualified Institutional Buyers (“QIBs”) registered on the GSTrUE OTC market can view Oaktree’s unit price and volume information via Bloomberg terminals that have been granted access. Our Class A units are traded under the ticker symbol “OAKTRZ.”

Q: What is the market capitalization for Oaktree’s business?
A: As of June 30, 2010, Oaktree’s total market capitalization was approximately $5.1 billion. Of this, our traded Class A units had an aggregate float value of approximately $776 million.

Q: Who is eligible to purchase Oaktree Class A units?
A: Class A units are available for purchase and sale only by organizations that are QIBs as defined in Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933. A QIB is generally defined as a certain type of institution that owns and invests on a discretionary basis at least $100 million in securities. Individual investors and non-QIBs are not eligible to participate in the GSTrUE OTC market, regardless of the amount of assets they own or have available for investment.

Q: Does Oaktree provide detailed financial information to its investors?
A: Yes, we make available to participants registered on the GSTrUE OTC market certain periodic reports relating to our company. These reports include quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements and current reports of certain material events, among other information. Management presentations, earnings call playbacks and other materials are also available on this platform. All information may be accessed solely by becoming a registered participant in the GSTrUE OTC market.
