Mr. Parks joined Oaktree in 2007 to develop investment opportunities and build closer relationships with governments, regulators and companies across the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Parks has over 35 years of experience in investment banking, and has held senior management positions in the Asia Pacific region, Europe and the United States. Prior to joining Oaktree, Mr. Parks was Chairman and CEO for the Asia Pacific region at JPMorgan. Prior thereto, he served as a Partner at the Beacon Group and, before that, a Partner at Goldman Sachs & Co., where his most recent role involved the establishment and management of the firm’s Investment Banking Services operations in Europe, where he was based for four years. Mr. Parks began his investment banking career at Merrill Lynch in 1970 and during his stint there spent several years in Asia. His corporate client relationships, developed over three decades, include major Asian, U.S., European and Canadian companies. Mr. Parks received a B.A. degree from Rice University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
