Michael Deng

Mr. Deng is a vice president within Oaktree’s U.S. Private Debt strategy.  He joined the team in 2021 and is primarily responsible for underwriting and executing new investment opportunities.  In addition, he is responsible for monitoring existing portfolio investments until fully realized.  Prior to joining Oaktree, Mr. Deng was a vice president at Brightwood Capital focused on underwriting investments in the technology, telecom and healthcare sectors.  Mr. Deng began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Technology, Media and Telecom group at Wells Fargo Securities.  He received his B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering, economics and computer science from Duke University.
