Nicholas Basso

Mr. Basso is a managing director in Oaktree’s Opportunities group in Los Angeles.  Prior to rejoining the firm in 2023, he was a managing director at Peak Rock Capital where he led the credit and non-control investment strategy.  Previously, Mr. Basso had worked at Oaktree from 2011 to 2020 primarily in the Strategic Credit strategy, of which he was a founding member.  He has served as a director on numerous boards including Acumera, Air Pros USA, P97 Networks, Neo Performance Materials, and Edmentum, among others.  Mr. Basso began his career at Citigroup in mergers & acquisitions.  He received a Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in business administration from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
