Atsushi Takeiri

Mr. Takeiri is a managing director in Oaktree’s Opportunities group in Tokyo.  Prior to joining the firm in 2024, he was a managing director and head of Japan Real Estate at EQT Exeter Japan / Barings Private Equity Japan and was responsible for leading all aspects of real estate investments in the region.  Previously, Mr. Takeiri worked at Fortress Investment Group Japan as a managing director and was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, execution, and asset management of opportunistic real estate investments in Japan, with a focus on hotels, residential, retail assets, and credit.  He began his career at Morgan Stanley Capital where his experience included underwriting various product types throughout Japan, including hotels, office, residential, retail, warehouses, data centers, loans, and CMBS.  Mr. Takeiri holds a degree from Waseda University, where he studied at the School of Political Science and Economics.  He is a native Japanese speaker.
