Cyril Martin
Managing Director and Head of Insurance Solutions, EMEA
Mr. Martin is a managing director and Head of EMEA Insurance Solutions. He is primarily responsible for developing and managing the insurance client base in EMEA, as well as building insurance analytics globally. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2025, he was Head of Investment Solutions at Aviva Investors. In this role, Mr. Martin led a team in charge of designing and implementing investment strategies across a broad range of client types, solving for objectives such as accounting, capital, regulatory, and sustainability considerations. Prior thereto, he was a director at PwC where he advised insurance companies with respect to Solvency II and Matching Adjustment strategies, internal processes, and balance sheet optimization. Previously, he worked at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley as a structurer designing and implementing hedging strategies for insurance companies across Europe. Mr. Martin holds an M.Sc. in financial engineering from Ensimag (École nationale supérieure d'informatique et de mathématiques appliquées) and a Ph.D. in finance from Pierre Mendès-France University.
