Leonardo Mercati, CFA

Mr. Mercati is a senior vice president in the Product Specialist group, where he focuses on the firm’s multi-asset credit platform and Global Credit strategy.  In this capacity, he is responsible for various aspects of product marketing, client relations and product management.  Prior to joining Oaktree’s London office in 2023, he was a vice president in the Product Strategy group at PIMCO, where he was most recently a product strategist responsible for investment grade credit, financial credit and multi-sector credit strategies.  Early in his career at PIMCO, he was part of the account management team in Munich, focusing on financial institution clients across EMEA.  Mr. Mercati holds an M.Sc. degree in finance as well as a B.Sc. degree in economics and finance from Bocconi university.  He is a CFA charterholder and native Italian speaker.
