Sammy Kaufman

Mr. Kaufman is a vice president in Oaktree’s GFI Energy Group, which executes the Power Opportunities investment strategy.  He currently serves as a board observer of Energy Systems Group and LPW Group. He previously served as a board observer of Signal Energy.  Prior to joining Oaktree in 2022, he was an associate at Marlin Equity Partners, a private equity firm investing in software and technology-enabled services.  He began his career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley & Co in the M&A group covering the consumer and retail, media and entertainment, and technology sectors.  Mr. Kaufman received B.S. magna cum laude in business with a major in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
