Managing Director
Mr. Giuliani is a managing director in Oaktree's GFI Energy Group, which executes the Power Opportunities investment strategy. He is based in the London office and is responsible for origination, execution and portfolio management for European investments. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2018, Mr. Giuliani was a managing director with First Reserve, a private equity investor focused on the energy sector. During his 12 years at First Reserve, Mr. Giuliani worked on control equity investments in the energy supply chain in U.S. and in Europe, most recently leading the London operations. He currently serves on the boards of CEBAT S.p.A., MWH Treatment, and NAPEC. Mr.Giuliani previously served on the boards of 9ren, Ansaldo Energia, Dresser, Gamesa Solar, and Intero Integrity Services. Before joining First Reserve, Mr. Giuliani was a senior executive at General Electric where he held multiple roles in M&A and operations. Mr. Giuliani’s last job at GE was leading the Oil & Gas Equipment business to over $2 billion USD in sales to the energy industry. He received a B.A. degree in economics from LUISS University in Rome, Italy and is a native Italian speaker.
