Anna Szymanski, CFA
Senior Vice President and Senior Financial Writer
Ms. Szymanski is Oaktree’s Senior Financial Writer. She oversees the Insights program and manages the firm’s editorial content. She has been in this position since February 2021. She originally joined Oaktree in 2014 and served as the portfolio support administrator for Oaktree’s Emerging Markets Opportunities and Emerging Markets Debt Total Return strategies until 2017. In the intervening years, she was a columnist at Reuters Breakingviews, a co-host of the Slate Money podcast, and a research consultant at Fintech Advisory Inc. She began her career in finance at Fintech Advisory Inc. in 2008. Ms. Szymanski received a B.A. and an M.A. in English from New York University. She graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Szymanski is a CFA charterholder.
